A 2020 graduate of Mounds View High School, Mateo is a Biology major with an emphasis in pre-medicine. Mateo was the recipient of the 2021 MIAC Elite 22 Award, 2022 CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-MIAC in 2021, 2022, and 2023. His play, including his 6 tackles, against Wartburg College on September 14th in Collegeville helped the Johnnies defeat one of the top-rated teams in the country.
