Johnnie Athletes NIL Alliance
NIL for ALL
Johnnie Athletes NIL Alliance is an athlete led and directed opportunity for college athletes at Saint John's University to benefit from NIL. Similar to NIL Clubs, Johnnie Athletes NIL Alliance is an athlete-run fan community specific to SJU Athletics designed to financially benefit its member athletes. The athletes themselves work collectively to promote the alliance, generating and sharing content for Alliance subscribers, with income shared equally among the participating athletes each month.
Johnnie Athletes Targeted NIL
Targeted NIL
Targeted NIL is the primary way NIL has been used in college sports. Funds are directed to a specific athlete to either encourage or help that athlete enroll in that college and monetize their Name, Image and Likeness. In most cases the athlete is targeted to help the team's overall success. The money to support these athletes is typically provided by interested alumni or fans. In some cases that relationship is between a business and an athlete, with that support being targeted to a specific athlete.
